Highlights from Jill’s Story:
At the age of 29 Jill was promoted from the field to be the District Purchasing Manager for over 75 projects. Despite early in her career struggling with “mom guilt” while raising kids and building a career at the same time, Jill has shown that her persistence and commitment to both her family and her career, has allowed her great success in all she continues to do.
She took on the purchasing department from another woman who led the department for 10 years prior. Jill shares that her predecessor and the VP, Operations manager put a level of trust into her that she will be forever appreciative for.
This position has allowed Jill to give insight from a field perspective. She states “The amount of trust my current managers give me is large boost in my confidence when working in a male dominated industry.”
Next achievement in progress:
Jill shares that she is eager to learn more about the Preconstruction team’s duties and the BIM team designs. She would also like to get better acquainted with our contracts with clients, in addition to the current relationships built with subcontractors. She shares that these levels of detail are what can make or break a project at times. She is seeking to build a relationship with the local ABC, Arizona Builders Alliance Chapter that her company’s district recently became members of.
